This Columbian blacktail deer hunt at the California Hopland Research Center is for 1 Hunter/3 Days. This is a very rare opportunity. Access is limited to 1 hunter and one non-hunting participant. This is a fixed date hunt, only available September 18-19 for pre-scouting, hunting September 20, 2026. This is the closing weekend of hunting at the HREC.
Includes:
* Two day of pre-hunt scouting including a one-hour orientation; detailed maps.
* Access to a skinning-shed, including power hoist, basic cleaning equipment and cooling room.
* Participation in active deer research activities.
Excludes:
* Must bring your California hunting license plus A-Zone deer tags.
* Rifle rental is not available.
* Food, Meals, Accommodations and Transportation are on your own.
